Our story

Luke Kelley, a modest man who comes from humble beginnings growing up in a rural area, he spent a part of his youth working on a farm and learned the value of hard work.  A man who is not afraid to get his hands dirty and break a sweat, he gives every project his utmost effort. He loves to make things, be it home made sausage, or building a miniature log cabin for his dog with logs he cut, peeled, and shaped for construction.  He has a vision and a desire to create and build things that are not only beautiful, but strong and dependable. Luke is a true pioneer spirit, from tapping his own maple trees to cook down our own maple syrup to curing and smoking his own bacon and sausage every fall.  He often jokes that he was born in the wrong century. He could be a true Mountain Man!

Luke is also quite skilled in mechanics.  Most of his life he has done his own mechanical repairs on his vehicles. He was formerly employed repairing hydraulics and heavy equipment for many years.  One of his many hobbies is restoring old vehicles and equipment. Some of his accomplishments are complete restoration to working order of a 1976 Ford Bronco, a 1974 Airstream camper, a 1938 Cletrac Bulldozer, a 1955 Dodge Dump truck (currently being put to work clearing land for our new home) His passion for restoring things to their former glory extends to his huge vintage Coleman Lantern collection. Many of his lanterns are around 100 years old. He can take an old dusty decrepit lantern, shine it up, get the mechanical parts cleaned and repaired, and its ready to light up for the evening.
